fight. According to some accounts, Allen sent either
30,000 pages or 30,000 e-mails to Kelly over a few

bureaucrats they installed in Libya want you to think
that all 5.6 million Libyans are happy that NATO and its
proxy terrorists destroyed Libya, a country which under
Gaddafi had the highest standard of living in Africa.
They want you to think that NATO brought “freedom and
democracy” to Libya, not chaos and death. They want you
to think that there is no Green Resistance to the NATO
imperialists or NATO’s Islamist allies in Benghazi. In
reality, the Resistance has been increasingly active
since shortly after the murder of Muammar Gaddafi in
October 2011, as will be shown below. They strike any
NATO target they can, and they execute key Libyans who

incident was merely their latest blow against what they
see as NATO’s illegal occupation of their country.
Everyone in Libya knows about the Green Resistance,
whose members are called “Tahloob” (Arabic for “Gaddafi
loyalists”). The denial only happens outside of Libya,
by the NATO powers and their dutiful Western mainstream
media. Because of this denial, and because most of the
world’s people have forgotten about Libya, the internet
is filled with blind guesses, unfounded claims, and
ridiculous counterclaims regarding the Benghazi incident
last week in which US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and
at least three other American personnel were killed. And
the NATO lie factory is operating at full blast.

On
11 September 2012,
in commemoration of 9/11, he released a video that
eulogized Abu Yahya Al Libi, the one supposedly killed
by a US drone in June. This “eulogy” had nothing to do
with the Benghazi incident, which happened later that
night on Tuesday 11 September. Some claim that Salafists
carried out the fatal attack on the US premises. This is
more nonsense, since Salafists are NATO allies.
Salafists and Wahhabists connote a strict, literalist,
and puritanical approach to Islam. They are mainly
associated with Saudi Arabia’s feudal style of Islam,
and they were allied with NATO against Gaddafi. Now
they are allied with NATO against Assad, Iran,
Hezbollah, and Shiites generally. An example of
Salafists in Libya is the Ansar Al Sharia – a blanket
term for various militias that want to apply strict
Sharia law in Libya. Its members are pro-NATO and
anti-Green Resistance. They had no reason to attack the
US government site in Benghazi which had been
instrumental in galvanizing the Islamist insurgency to
topple the Gaddafi government, beginning at least from
March 2011 and under the supervision of the late
Christopher Stevens. Stevens was Washington’s point man
in Benghazi and is known to have cultivated strong ties
with the Islamists. In short, it does not make sense
that such Benghazi contacts would have wanted or have
been motivated to kill their American paymaster. The
most obvious explanation is that cadres – the Green
Resistance – loyal to Gaddafi and in opposition to the
NATO-imposed regime carried out the attack. NATO and its
Libyan quislings don’t want to admit this subversive
reality. The fact of a resistance – a potent and growing
resistance at that – has to be denied, erased from the
record.

on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi that had just
occurred. Witnesses said they saw vehicles with the group's logo at
the scene of the assault and that fighters there acknowledged at the
time that they belonged to Ansar al-Sharia. Witnesses also said they
saw Ahmed
Abu Khattala, a commander of Ansar al-Sharia, leading the

the group issued a statement asserting that it "didn't participate
as a sole entity," and that the attack "was a spontaneous popular

hundreds of protesters stormed the militia headquarters, pulled down
flags of the militia and torched a vehicle inside the

was taken later that night. Elements of Libyan
National Army and Libyan police came to the support of the
civilians and took over control of the bases. A few days after the

agreed to disband, however as of October 2012 they are still

Stevens and three other Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya, arrived
at Andrews Air Force Base after the Sept. 11 attack, they were
greeted by the president, the vice president and the secretaries of
state and defense. Conspicuously absent was CIA Director David
Petraeus. Officials close to Mr. Petraeus say he stayed away in an
effort to conceal the agency's role in collecting intelligence and
providing security in Benghazi. Two of the four men who died that
day, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, were former Navy SEAL commandos
who were publicly identified as State Department contract security
officers, but who actually worked as Central Intelligence Agency
contractors, U.S. officials say. The U.S. effort in Benghazi was at
its heart a CIA operation, according to officials briefed on the
intelligence. Of the more than 30 American officials evacuated from
Benghazi following the deadly assault, only seven worked for the
State Department. Nearly all the rest worked for the CIA, under
diplomatic cover, which was a principal purpose of the consulate,

that Petraeus’s girlfriend Paula Broadwell recently made a claim
that the Benghazi attack was centered not on the consulate but on

denies this, but a claim that was totally ignored at the time
because there was no reason to take Broadwell’s word for it, is
getting a lot more attention now that it is known she had classified

according to law enforcement sources. But much of the focus has shifted to
Kelley: The well-connected socialite tried to get the FBI to call
off the investigation over the summer, as it became clear that her

investigation; she and her husband ran an iffy, now-bankrupt cancer
charity; and both Allen and Petraeus wrote strongly supportive
letters to help Kelley's twin sister, Natalie Khawam, in her
(unsuccessful) child custody battle with her ex-husband. The Wall
Street Journal reports that
Allen was dragged into the inquiry because Broadwell sent him (and
other senior military officials) emails under the pseudonym
KelleyPatrol, warning about getting entangled with the Tampa
"seductress," and Allen forwarded the email to Kelley.

Cannonfire Why has the right remained so fixated on
Benghazi, even though the average citizen wisely refused to go mad
over the issue? I've long thought that a clue can be found in this
Craig Unger piece. Unger intimates that leaders of the
Republican party had received information from an intelligence
source about Benghazi, and that this information was somewhat at
odds with the story being told by the Obama administration. Unger
does not divulge (and may not know) the name of this source, but it
is fair to presume that he or she either serves in the spook
community or has a relationship with someone who does. Question 1:
Did the same source speak to Broadwell? Question 2: Was Petraeus
the source? Was he chatting up not just Paula Broadwell, but also
Karl Rove and crew? Question 3: If Petraeus was not a direct source
for the Republicans, could he have been an indirect source? Odd
thought: Perhaps Paula Broadwell was the one who went running to the
GOP head honchos. That's quite possible. Right now, however, my main
suspicion runs in another direction. Petraeus is best buds with
neocon writer Max Boot. During the campaign, Boot functioned as a Romney
adviser. Remember all those stories about how Romney had
surrounded himself with Dubya's merry band of war-lovers? Boot was a
key part of that crew. The Boot connection strengthens both Craig
Unger's story and Bob Parry's. It seems quite possible that Boot was
the source who told the Rove/Romney crew to keep pushing the
betrayed-in-Benghazi meme. Moreover, it seems quite possible that
Boot got his information from David Petraeus. Put yourself in
Obama's shoes. If your CIA Director is good friends with the key
foreign policy adviser to the guy running against you -- well, yeah,
that's something to worry about.

... a source close to the Kelley family said that two
Washington-based players in the Lewinsky scandal, trial lawyer Abbe
Lowell and public relations adviser Judy Smith, were working for
Kelley. During the Clinton sex scandal, Smith, a one-time
press aide to President George H.W. Bush, served as Lewinsky's
spokeswoman. Smith also represented NFL quarterback Michael Vick,
who was charged and convicted in a dogfighting cruelty case. Smith
also is a model for the main character in the ABC-TV drama

they have suspended Broadwell's security clearance and Kelley's
MacDill Air Force Base pass. Kelley, an honorary consul-general
for South Korea in Tampa, drew Gen. Allen into the investigation
surrounding Petraeus and Broadwell after it was revealed that the
two exchanged numerous emails, some of them "flirtatious" in
character. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta cautioned against jumping
to conclusions on Gen. Allen, saying "He certainly has my continued
confidence to lead our forces and to continue the fight"

point" that the Petraeus scandal has compromised national security
in any way. He added that the FBI "has its own protocols" about how

been nominated to become the chief of the U.S. military's European

confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee
had already been scheduled for this Thursday before Allen's possible
involvement in this story became known. THE MEDIA: Vernon
Loeb: The Washington Post editor who ghostwrote All In. Loeb had
remained silent on the scandal until late Monday when he published a
first-person account on the Post's website explaining that
Broadwell had complete control over the biography's narrative and
that he had no inkling that she would go on to have an affair with
her subject. "On rare occasions, her good looks and close access
would prompt a colleague to raise an eyebrow about their
relationship, but I never took it seriously," he wrote.

surprise that backfired ... The Romney campaign was
banking on the Benghazi attack making Obama the next Jimmy Carter,
however it has instead blown up in the face of the American right -

to make public.” However, another “senior intelligence official” who
spoke to CBS defended the edits as made necessary by the need to

campaign, Republican Party spokesmen and right-wing media
